How one project goes.

  1. Read the short lesson

10 minutes on the idea behind the task. Plain English, worked examples, and no jargon you have to look up first.

  2. Do it on real files

You get a folder of messy work: spreadsheets with merged cells, a scanned PDF, an email thread that contradicts itself. Then you do the task in the tool.

  3. Get it graded

Submit what you made. We score it against a written rubric and name the edit that would have met the criterion you missed.

Q3 vendor renewal brief

drafted in Claude Cowork

2/3
  • Every claim traced to a source file - met
  • Costs reconciled against the signed contract - met
  • Renewal risks ranked, not just listed - not yet met

What to fix

Your risk section lists six items in the order you found them. Rank them by cost exposure, then lead with the top two.

5 finished pieces of work you can show your boss or your client.

  • A renewal brief that cites its sources

12 months of invoices, a signed contract and a thread of complaints, pulled into one brief where every number traces back to a file.

    Claude45 min
  • A messy spreadsheet turned into a decision

400 rows, 3 date formats and 2 people’s naming conventions. You spend your time on the recommendation.

    Gemini40 min
  • A synthesis across 40 pages of PDFs

Scanned reports and a policy document that contradict each other. You find where they disagree and say which one to follow.

    Claude50 min
  • A client update that survives forwarding

You write it so the person your client forwards it to, who has none of the context, still knows what to do.

    ChatGPT30 min
  • A workflow you reuse every week

You build it around a task you repeat, so you keep using it long after the course ends.
